Esquire Magazine's Issue on Heroes
(don't forget to read the caveats!)
Esquire Magazines November 1998 issue on Heroes.
A four part profile of the American hero. Great article on Richard Jewell, and another one
on Fred "Mr Rodger" Rodgers. Simply great writing in this issue. The article on
page 96, "The American Hero in Four Acts", will bring tears to your eyes it is
so good. (well, at least it brought tears to my eyes. And I am not one of those
sensitive, effeminate males. Not that I have anything against gays, it is just that
gay males are in general, more sensitive than non-gay males. They also dress better.
HEY, that was a complement dammit, so don't flame mail me that I am anti-gay.
I am not. If you don't like, put up your own damn website and rag about
straight guys that are insensitive and dress like slobs).
The story, "The American Hero in Four Acts" will also make our lives seem a
little meaningless, with all of us spending all this time and money trying to go faster in
our cars
..instead of helping people who need help. Kinda makes me a little
depressed. As a matter of fact, I think I will go outside, get in my car, and
redline in all five gears so I feel better about myself......and maybe be more sensitive
and dress better....Oh shit, I can't drive my car, it has been in the shop for four weeks.
Now you know why I had time to write "PULP", because it ain't cool crusing
around in my Dad's 1989 Toyota Camery Station Wagon that I am currently driving.....
And by the way, last month's Esquire Magazine really sucked. On the cover,
""What Did You Do After the Crash, Daddy", "The Coming Economic
Collapse". I guess in all fairness that magazine was correct for about two
weeks, because it was published before the economic problems happen last month, so I guess
they thought they were pretty smart when the Dow went crashed down to 7500.
But now they look like idiots, since the Dow is back to 8900. So shame on them for
helping to fuel a panic among investors with the rest of the idiots in the press. I
told you, in general, the media/press folks are idiots.....
