Mike began his motorsports career in 1984 when a college friend talked him into attending an autocross.  In 1998, after numerous successful years of autocrossing and time trials, he moved up to road racing.  In his first full season of racing, Mike won the Touring Car Club's "Fastest Big Bore" award.  In 1999, Mike is expanding his horizons to include other sanctioning bodies and series, including PRO Racing, NASA, and an appearance in the SCCA World Challenge.  When not competing, Mike volunteers as a high performance driving instructor for various sports car and racing clubs.  Mike wishes to thank his wife for allowing this rather expensive indulgence and also John Best at West Coast Corvettes, who has spent far too many late nights keeping the race car running and competitive.
