A two car entry, the NSX And the S2000?  Why is that?

Just in case the NSX blows up, I got another car to drive instead of running shouting at people, "Your lap times suck, if my NSX was still running, I woulda kicked your ass!"  I figure I can try to get seat time in both the NSX and the Honda S2000, get some good videotape footage, and try to win TWO trophies, one in Unlimited One, and the other in Touring 3.  I feel like we could be a lock for T3.  Cheating Bastard Radical guys in Unlimited 1 will be tough to beat, along with the PMUM/BP Viper Competition Coupe.  And I have been crowing for the past 3 months about my plan on how I was going to win my class.  I just never actually said "Which Class" I was referring to.  Now you now I am referring to T3.  Heh heh heh.

Jason Rhoades is a "surprise entry" as a highly paid, sponsored co-driver.  Is this because he kicked your ass three events in a row with his S2000?

Sort of.  I think it is more that his BAUW (Big Ass Ugly Wing) and his AABAUW (Active Aero Big Ass Ugly Wing) was extremely successful in making his S2000 whup on us normally aspirated S2000 owners.  I do not have the time or the cash to build/buy wings for the S2000, so let's just say that his S2000 and my S2000 will be doing a little mating with their vital body parts between April 6-12th.  Touring 3 entries will feel the "Wrath of the AABAUW" along with some other Cheating Bastard mods to the S2000.

Touring 3?  What the hell?  Why not Unlimited 3, so you can run slicks and trailer your car?

Three words:  Elise in U3.  The rules for the OTC state that cars must be legal to drive on the road....someone in the World for the Unlimited classes.  Those damn damn guys from overseas keep shipping these Cheater Cars into the States.  Elises, 340Rs, Radicals......it sucks for us drivers that have regular ffing cars.  So instead of Unlimited 3, we will take aim at Touring 3.  Now you will know how I felt when a car goes through the turns 5 mph faster than what you car is capable of!  It sucks!

Why did  you you wait so long to enter?

I didn't really wait err.....long.  We (Me, Erik, Jason) agreed back in December to enter my S2000 in Touring 3.  If I woulda announced it back then, the rest of the folks in T3 would have spent $10,000 in mods in a attempt to beat us.  I just saved them a lot of money.....and hey, will still be two open spots on the podium....behind us!  <grin>

Any advice from your competitors?

I know the wing is UGLY.  But it sticks like you wouldn't believe.....and you'll be looking at it quite a bit at the OTC....as it pulls away from you in the corners....

Active Aero Banned in Formula One.  But legal for OTC.
