So many mods, so little time......

Larry has worked as Shop Foreman at various Acura Dealerships (South Coast Acura and Riverside Acura) over the past 12 years.  "Shop Foreman" signifies that Larry is the technical expert in the dealership and advises all the other technicians, and also works on the problems that other people can't fix.  To become Shop Foreman at a dealership, a person has to have obtained all their factory training and be recognized as a factory Master Technician.  Larry is one of the few Shop Foremans that is certified as both a Factory Master Technician AND has obtained his NSX Master's Certificate AND is certified by the Socal Smog folks, AND holds a doctorate for working in sensitive, highly secure places.  If your considering taking your NSX to another service facility, you may want to ask yourself will they be as qualified to work on your very expensive car.  Larry has worked on numerous NSXs, and has made a  name for himself by assisting customers with maintaining and modifying their Acura NSXs.  He specializes in installing performance parts from Comptech, RM Racing, Dali Racing, etc. A well-known OEM Clutch manufacturer is  also referring work to Larry, as they have customers who complain about their clutch when it is installed by various XYZ Repair shops.  When Larry installs their clutch, there are no complaints.   Larry also maintains the entire Flamemobile for the past three years, including the installation, support, and troubleshooting of the Comptech Supercharger.   Larry has also worked very closely with Alex Vizcarra, President of the NSX Club of America, in servicing and fine tuning his Gruppe M Supercharger.

Diagnosis
Larry can fix the toughest problems that normal technicians just scratch their heads in frustration.  Not only have we fixed every problem encountered by NSXs driven on the street, but we also support an NSX Racecar which gives us even more experience on non-conventional problems.  As a matter of fact, the driver of this race car has broken every part on the race car at least twice, so we have lots of experience.  We have access to all Honda/Acura specialty tools, including OBDII testers, ABS factory tools, and other tools built specifically for the Acura NSX.

Labor Rates
$75 an hour (which is about $3 to $5 an  hour less than what a dealership charges, and most dealership will not install any aftermarket or performance products).  We offer package deals for items that are related with one another.  Example: If we pull your tranny to put in short gears, we won't charge extra labor hours to put in a new clutch, unlike other facilities.  No hidden costs, no hidden agendas.  This simple philosophy allows us to be less expensive than your normal dealership or specialty shop.

Scheduling an appointment
Call 714-596-7605 for an appointment.  There is usually a backlog of NSXs at the shop, so it is important to make an appointment in advance.  It is best to leave your NSX at the shop for a couple of days, that way Larry can take his time and make sure everything is done correctly.  Feel free to stop by and visit.

We do take appointments via email at nsxlarry@msn.com or nsxjesse@socal.rr.com. Note:  Email turnaround is usually at least 24 hours, as Larry spends most of his time on his back underneath NSXs, and doesn't look at email multiple times a day.  He does not have a computer at home yet.
